When your organization has been approved as a participant, please read the Parade Instructions (check back shortly for 2010 version). Specific information regarding Order of March or specific unit assignments will not be given out prior to parade day.  The head of each unit must check in at the start point to get your staging and marching assignments.  Please do not contact us asking where your unit will be in the parade.

If your organization is interested in marching in this year's parade, fill out and submit the 2010 Parade Applicaton
In the event of inclement weather, our make up date is Saturday, March 13, 2010.  Should the City of Alexandria decide that the Parade needs to be moved to the make up date, that decision should be made no later than noon on Friday, March 5, 2010.  We will post that information immediately on this page, as well as on the recording on the Ballyshaners telephone hot line.

 Parking and Transportation

Use of public transportation is highly recommended for parade day given the crowds and more limited street access.  If you should decide to drive, please note street parking will be very limited due to the many street closures.  We suggest you come early and use one of the many public parking lots in Old Town (see map above).  Since the parade is held on a Saturday, parking meters will be in effect. (By coming early, you can catch the Classic Car Show and the Fun Dog Show!)
