The Ballyshaners are recognized by the United States Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization.

Putting on the Parade and other events is an expensive endeavor, including paying for City services such as the Fire Department, the Police Department, and others. Please consider making a financial donation to the Ballyshaners to help us continue to promote Irish-American culture in the City of Alexandria. The City of Alexandria pays half of the costs associated with City staff and first responders who prepare the parade route and maintain safety for participants and spectators during the event. Other costs include permits fees, stage rental, insurance, donations to pipes and drum bands, and the sound system plus others. We also incur fees and associated costs to conduct the Irish Festival; our annual, summer cultural event.
